Beer Descriptions for Restaurant Half Month

Boulevard Harvest Dance Wheat Wine  9.1%ABV
Boulevard Brewing Co. Kansas City Missouri
A: Pours a bright orange color with a lofty white head.
S: Wheat,  bready malts, fruity (both citrus and tropical)  with a light spicy and earthy hop finish
T:  Citrus hops, then wheat bread, spice and belgian yeast (banana, pepper, clove) and a little brown sugar sweetness and tropical fruitiness to finish.
M:  Medium to Full bodied with moderate carbonation.
D:  Very drinkable, yet still a great Euclid Hall food beer because of its high alcohol at 9.1%ABV
Pairings: Great with out sausages, chicken sandwich, fishwich, cauliflower salad, veal schnitzel, mussels, etc...

Dry Dock Double IPA  9%ABV  
Dry Dock Brewing Co, Aurora, Colorado
A:  Pours a slightly hazy bright orange copper color with a lofty sticky white head.
S:  Lots of caramel and citrus.  There is a medley of 7 different hops in this beauty.
T:  Great early hop bitterness followed by smooth malt middle with toffee, and citrus.  Finishes with a lingering citrusy and resiny pine hop bitterness.
M: Medium bodied, moderate carbonation
D:  Very drinkable, but great with food.
Pairings:  Brat burger, sausages, bone marrow, blue cheese, Chicken Schnitzel Sando, Spaztle, cauliflower salad.

Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA  7.5%ABV
Firestone Walker Brewing Co. Paso Robles, CA
A:   Brilliant tangerine orange, with  gorgeous clarity and a pearl white head.
S: pine, citrus,tropical fruit, clove and roasted barley.
T:  Big punch of bitter citrus up front, followed by tropical fruits and caramel malts.  Finishes with a herbal yet resiny hoppiness.
M: med to medium light in body, with adequate carbonation and a dry finish.
D:  Very drinkable, great with food.
Pairings:   Fishwich, salmon, Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich, Chicken/Quail and Waffles

Avery Reverend  Belgian Style Quad  10%ABV
Avery Brewing Co, Boulder, CO
A:  Pours a clear, deep rosy colored amber body with a full cap of white foam.
S:  Caramel malts, belgian candi sugar with slight fruity character of figs and bananas.
T:  Rich carmel and malt, dark dried fruits like figs, raisins, and prunes.  Only  traces of Belgian flavors and lightly noticeable  alcohol.
M:  Medium -full mouthfeel with adequate carbonation and a seductively smooth finish.
D:  Again, great alone, great with food.
Pairings:  OYSTER PO"BOY all day,  It will also pair nicely with sausages, brat burger, spatzle, sprout casserole, and waffle ice cream sandwich.

Crabtree Berliner Weiss  4.3% ABV
Crabtree Brewing Co. Greely, CO
A:  Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a fizzy head and little retention.
S:  Lemon tartness with granny smith apples and and a delicate grainy and wheaty backbone.   There is a slight earthy funk that adds another great layer to this delicate yet complex weissbier.
T:  Mild lemon and green apple tartness, mild grassy/ straw like graininess.
M: Light- med bodied, bright crisp carbonation with a dry finish.
D:  Very drinkable, but great with...
Pairings:  Oysters, mussels, fishwich, sausages, chicken sandwich, veal schintzel, spaztle, sprouts, lemon buckle

Left Hand 2009 Oak Aged Wake UP Dead Imperial Stout   10.2%
A:  Pours a rich dark brown with a dark khaki head.
S:  Aromas of bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark roasted malts, dark chocolate.
T:  RIch, dark malts, unseasoned espresso, molasses, and dark chocolate.
M:  Rich and full
D:
Pairings:  This beer is going to be a bit to pair with most of the food, but paired carefully, this could be a great match with Tri Tip, Sausages, Grilled Cheese, Quail and waffles.  

Left Hand 2009 St. Vrain Belgian Style Triple  9%ABV
Left Hand Brewing Co.  Longmont, CO
A:  Pours a light golden color with fluffy off white head.  
S: Biscuity, citrus and bananas, belgian candi sugar,
T:  Malt, pepper, candi sugar and banana and citrusy notes.  
M:  Med- full bodied with light carbonation and a mildly sweet finish.
Pairings:  Mussels, po'boy, sausages, chicken sandwich, fishwich, waffle and ice cream sandwich.
